The Society of Biology is very pleased to have been granted a 5 year licence by the Science Council to award Chartered Science Teacher (CSciTeach) status.

CSciTeach recognises the combination of skills, knowledge, understanding and expertise required by individuals involved in the practice and advancement of science teaching and learning.

The addition of CSciTeach to our portfolio of chartered designations will further support the professional recognition of our members working in teaching and learning roles at all levels: primary, secondary, further and higher education. The teaching community is vital to ensuring the next generation of biologists and supporting this community is a priority for the Society.
