The British Biology Olympiad (BBO) deadline has been extended to 17th January 2014. Schools are invited to register their students for the BBO, for which the first round takes place in schools between Monday 20th and Tuesday 28th January 2014.

The British Biology Olympiad is designed to challenge students and encourage an interest in biology beyond the school curriculum.

BBO medallists will be invited to apply for tickets to attend an award ceremony at the Royal Society. This year's guest speaker at the award ceremony will be Professor Alice Roberts.
