Biology fourth most popular Advanced Higher for Scotland

Students in secondary schools across Scotland have received their exam results today from the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
Biology remains the fourth most popular Advanced Higher, with 569 students (28%) being awarded an A grade.
More than 136,000 candidates received their results. For those studying biology, 19,125 students received their National 5, more than 12,000 students received their Highers and 2,000 received their Advanced Higher results.
6921 biology and 5556 human biology Highers were awarded with A grades (28% and 25% respectively).
Lauren McLeod, head of education policy at the RSB commented: “Congratulations to all the students in Scotland who received their exam results today.
“We wish all students success in the future, whether they go on to continue their studies or move into employment. Wherever life takes you a good foundation of knowledge in biology is empowering.
